Hi! Welcome to Us Quest!
The goal of Us Quest is pretty much a social experiment, we as a community will make a story together. A bit from me, a bit from you, a bit from others that visit the site. All of us adding a little bit to make up a story that will form and transform over time into something unique and special.
How it will work
I'll write an introduction to the story, it will be a brief introduction to the world and a brief introduction to our starting main character. You will then write a few paragraphs as to what would happen next leaving it open ended for someone else to add to next. At the end each week, I will pick the next step in the story from the comments of the week before. Then you will put the next part in the comments of that week and so on. I may add more parts myself during the story, so as I said, it's part me, part you, part everyone. Also, everyone who's part gets chosen for the week will have their names added in that weeks part, giving credit where it is due.
Keeping it mature
Let's try to keep this mature but, not X-rated. Mature does not mean nudity, gun shoot-outs, blood and gore. Although it can incorporate those things, mature can also be fluffy bunnies and, colorful rainbows. What I mean by mature is, a mature thought process. Everything has to make sense, not overly excessive cursing out of nowhere for no reason. For example, I don't want someone to leave their part with a guy having a nice conversation with a girl, then your part starting with her yelling curses at the guy or them ripping each others clothes off. That kind of thing will not be picked for the next week's entry.
To be clear, I don't mind violence, blood, gore, nudity and even guns in the story, in fact I want violence and, blood in it somewhere. The point is there is a time and a place for everything, if it doesn't seem like the right time or place for it, it probably isn't.
Kinda legal-ish stuff
I might rename characters, places, things if I feel that it would be better for the story as a whole if they had different names than the ones you've chosen (I may or may not do this, just know if I do, I've told you in advance that I might.)
The goal
My goal is to make this a fun and interesting experience for everyone involved. It should be interesting to see the different directions that different people take our story.
The Beginning
Our journey starts on a planet named Pruavia. Pruavia is a planet about half the size of the planet we know as earth. The population of Pruavia is much less then Earth, even for it's size the population is much less than half of that found on Earth. This may mean that it is a much newer planet or, it could be because people die more often on Pruavia than they do on Earth, we can not be certain at this point what causes the population to be so much less than it is on Earth. As mentioned before, Pruavia is about half the size of Earth, yet there is still much of the planet that has not been discovered. These areas may hold some secrets or other species that may not have been seen by anyone before. As far as we know, there are at least ten different humanoid races on the planet. The Crubia are much like the humans that we know on Earth.
